Waking up to the fact that the dream is nearly over! A quick thank you from me to the amazing people I have had the pleasure of working with on the UK Tour of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
A huge thank you to everyone at the Royal Shakespeare Company for being one of the best companies I have ever worked with. Dream director Erica Whyman and associate directors Kim and Sophie for your concise and constructive notes never stopping the improvement of the show’s sound up until the very last performance. Jeremy Dunn, RSC Head of Sound for all the support and providing anything I needed to get the job done. Neil Rose, Sound No. 2 – a joy to have such a committed and skilled technician on board. And a special thanks to Andy Franks, Dream 16 Sound Designer – for the wonderful sound design that I had the pleasure of taking around the country, the trust you put in me to be true to your design in some very different venues, and most importantly, the fun and jokes shared during the tech period!
To our equipment supplier, Autograph. Thank you for the impeccable kit and a level of customer service that other businesses would be jealous of. Everything was treated urgently and any issues were resolved immediately. Scott Arnold and everyone at Autograph – thank you! I hope this relationship continues long into the future.
A huge shout out to Wigwam and Stage Sound Services for supplying some equipment and crew locally in Blackpool and Cardiff. Once again, I cannot praise the level of customer service we received from these companies. Your professionalism and expertise made our busy fit-up days and absolute pleasure.
The local crew that went to the ends of the earth for us. Thank you.
And last but not least, to the entire touring company of Dream 16. What an honour to work (and play) with as we travelled the UK together over the past few months!
